R-Value airside insulation refit on the Auckland International Airport AES Fire Station: specialist install delivered for Cook Brothers via Global Linings.

Where standard batts won't cut it.

Reliable Partners. Proven systems. Built on trust.

Some assemblies don't work with standard glasswool batts. They need PIR rigid board for an R-value the wall depth won't otherwise support, mineral wool for a fire rating, Mammoth carpark panels for soffit liner, or a specialist vapour membrane the designer has specified.

These are the jobs that win or lose on the install detail. We take the time at quote stage to confirm the spec, source the right product, and install the way the engineer intended, not the way the standard batt would have gone.

What we deliver

Scope you can hand straight to your quantity surveyor.

  • PIR rigid board

Kingspan KoolTherm, Kingspan Therma, installed and taped to deliver the assembly the designer drew.

  • Carpark / Soffit Panels

Soffit liner for podium carparks and intermediate floors. Cleanly finished underside, fixed correctly.

  • Subfloor retrofit

Underfloor batts and rigid board in retrofit jobs where the only access is from below.

  • Fire-rated systems

Mineral-wool fire stops, fire-rated intertenancy walls, ceiling penetrations. James Hardie Mineral Wool stocked.

  • Vapour control

Pro Clima membranes and barriers, installed continuous, sealed at every junction, taped at penetrations.

  • Soffit and rainscreen detail

Behind-cladding insulation and rainscreen detail where the wall depth and finish need careful coordination.

Common questions

Questions builders and specifiers ask us.

  • When do you need PIR or Kingspan KoolTherm instead of glasswool batts?

When the wall or roof depth will not physically fit enough glasswool to hit the required R-value, rigid PIR boards like Kingspan KoolTherm deliver more R-value per millimetre in a thinner assembly. They are also used where the designer has specified a continuous-insulation or rainscreen detail.

  • Do you install Mammoth carpark and soffit panels?

Yes. We install Mammoth carpark and soffit liner panels for podium carparks and intermediate floors, finished cleanly on the underside and fixed to specification.

  • Can you do fire-rated soffit and fire-stop systems?

Yes. We install mineral-wool fire stops, fire-rated intertenancy walls and ceiling penetrations, including James Hardie mineral wool, to the spec and certifier requirements.

  • What is vapour control and when is it required?

Vapour control manages moisture moving through an assembly so it does not condense inside the structure. We install Pro Clima membranes and vapour barriers continuous, sealed at junctions and taped at penetrations, where the designer or the climate zone calls for it.
